What's the difference between curtains and drapes?
Drapes are usually lined with a blockout lining whereas curtains are sheer or semi see-through and usually unlined. For more information about our curtain range click here
Do you do sheer curtains too?

Do you do outdoor blinds?

Can I fix my blinds to the inside of my window frame?
Blinds can be fitted either to the inside of the window frame or to the architrave. Fitting the blinds inside the window frame is very neat, however this will not block out as much light as when we fit them to the architrave. We suggest fitting bedroom blinds to the architrave and discussing with us the needs for the other blinds. For more information about different types of blinds click here
How do I stop light coming in around the edge of my blinds?
Our recommendation to avoid this is fitting the blinds to the architraves to reduce the amount of light around the edges of the blind. For more information about different types of blinds click here
What's the most energy efficient blind?
The most energy efficient blinds are honeycomb blinds. They are a concertina style pocket which traps air in the pockets to insulate the windows when the blind is closed. For more information about different types of blinds click here
Do I have to have a pelmet for my drapes?
The addition of a pelmet is your personal choice however pelmets are very effective to stop air movement over the tops of the drapes. Hot air rises so if it is able to drop down in front of the drapes, it will cool against the glass, drop to the floor and create a draught. A pelmet will stop this draught. How long does it take to have blinds fitted?

What does a window blind cost?

How do motorised blinds work?
Motorised blinds have a motor fitted inside the tube of the blind. The motors can be wired in or more simply run through rechargeable battery motors. For more information about motorised blinds click here
Should my blinds chain be on the left or right?
This is an important question when ordering blinds. It’s recommended we fit the chains on the side that is easiest to access, in bedrooms that is usually closest to the doorway. Will shutters fit my type of window?

Roman blinds – what's the advantage?
Roman blinds are popular because the fold upwards and when open they look like a pelmet. They can be made up in standard blind blockout fabrics or they can be made in almost any fabric and lined with blockout lining. For more information about different types of blinds click here.
What are Honeycomb blinds?
Honeycomb blinds get their name from the honeycomb shape of the pockets that make up the blind. These pockets trap air which insulates your windows when the blind is down. For more information about different types of blinds click here.
What colour blinds make rooms look bigger?
Lighter coloured blinds will make your rooms look larger. Mostly we blend the colour of the blind to the wall colour which allows for an uninterrupted feel to the walls and windows. For more information about different types of blinds click here.
Do dark coloured blinds block out more light?
No, the light blockout is performed by the backing of the blind so it doesn’t matter if the front of the blind is a light or dark colour. For more information about different types of blinds click here.
What is a translucent blind?
A translucent blind allows a glow of light through the blind, not complete blockout. There is also a screen blind, this allows you to see out in daytime but others cannot see in. For more information about different types of blinds click here.
Can you hang sheers from the ceiling?
Sheer curtains look fabulous when they are hung from the ceiling. If you have cornice it is neater to have the sheer fitted just below the cornice. This still gives that nice long look to the windows. For more information about sheer curtains click here.
Can you motorise the curtains as well?
